Cobra trailer: Celebrity friends are ecstatic over former cricketer Irfan Pathan's acting debut

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan is loved by one and all, and fans of the bowler are beyond happy to see him on the silver screen as an actor.

In the recently released trailer of Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra, the sportsman-turned-actor can be seen taking on the role of a security personnel and we are already happy to see him play his part with utmost sincerity and absolute honesty.

His friends from the cricketing world as well film industry have wished him luck for the release of the movie, and expressed their happiness over this latest chapter in his professional life. Check out who said what about the gripping trailer:

Going by the trailer, it looks like Vikram fans will have some heavy-duty action scenes in the gripping thriller. Vikram is seen switching from one disguise to another to escape from the Interpol and the final scene where pleads innocence saying that he is just a math teacher, reminds one of Vikram's Anniyan, where he effortlessly switched between Remo, Ambi and Anniyan. Srinidhi Shetty is seen playing his ladylove in the film. We also get a glimpse of cricketer-turned-actor Irfan Pathan interrogating Vikram's character Madhi. 

The film is written and directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikka Nodigal fame. This is his first collaboration with Vikram. Cobra also marks Srinidhi Shetty's debut in Kollywood. AR Rahman has scored the music for the film, and the songs including Thumbi Thullal and Adheera have already gone on to become huge hits. Cobra is gearing up for a worldwide release on August 31. This will be Vikram's first theatrical release since 2019 after Kadaram Kondan and hence, expectations are riding high on the same. After the trailer launch, the team will be touring Kochi, Bangalore and Hyderabad as well ahead of the film's release.
