Adrien Brody has channelled his inner action star for his upcoming film, Clean. The tailor for the crime drama was released recently, promising high octane action along the lines of Taken and John Wick.
The trailer introduces viewers to Brody’s character, a newcomer in a small town trying to escape the tragedy of his past. There he becomes friendly with an elderly woman and her granddaughter, and becomes fiercely protective of him. He takes a job as a garbage man and the fact that there is much more to the mysterious man that meets the eye becomes clear as the trailer progresses.
When the young girl comes into some trouble with a group of unsavoury individuals, Brody comes down on them hard, violently beating them up and saving his friend. But he makes a powerful enemy in the process, one who does not take kindly to people whom he thinks poses a threat to his leadership.
In addition to Brody, Clean also features Glenn Fleshler, Richie Merritt, Chandler Air-DuPont, Mykelti Williamson, RZA, Michelle Wilson, and John Bianco. The film is directed by Paul Solet from a script written by him and Brody. Brody also serves as one of the producers of the film.
Clean had had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 19 this year. It will be released in theatres on January 28, 2022.
