Clash of the Titans: It's Bachchan Pandey vs RRR and Laal Singh Chaddha vs KGF: Chapter 2 at box office

As slowly and gradually the government is easing restrictions, filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned in announcing new release dates for their impending films. First, it was Akshay Kumar, who booked the Holi 2022 date for his forthcoming film, Bachchan Pandey.

Interestingly, the film is set to clash with SS Rajamouli's RRR, which is also planning a March 18 release. However, if everything doesn't go well, the film will hit the big screens on April 28, 2022.

Talking about the April 2022 releases, Aamir Khan Productions reaffirmed that Laal Singh Chaddha will be released as per the schedule on April 14, 2022, on the occasion of Baisakhi. This means the film is ready to face Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 at the box office.

Bollywood films are all set to clash with pan-Indian movies on the big screen, and we can call it a "Clash of the Titans," indeed. 

Talking about each of the films, Bachchan Pandey is directed by Farhad Samji and written by Nischay Kuttanda and Farhad Samji, with Sajid Nadiadwala producing. In this, the female lead roles are Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez.

RRR is a Telugu action drama film directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by DVV Entertainments' DVV Danayya. NT Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris appear in the film, which also features Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, and Shriya Saran. It is a fictional story of Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (NTR), two Indian rebels who battled against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively.

Advait Chandan directs Laal Singh Chaddha, which has a script written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni. Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures are collaborating on the project. The film stars Aamir Khan as the main character, along with Kareena Kapoor, and Naga Chaitanya, and is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, which was based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name.

KGF: Chapter 2 is a Kannada period drama action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films' Vijay Kiragandur. It is a sequel to the 2018 film KGF: Chapter 1 and is the second half of a two-part series. In addition to Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj feature in the film.
