S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, is the film to look out for as it's been the most-awaited movie for six years now, ever since it was announced in 2017. The film has piqued the interest of the fans of the respective stars in the ensemble cast since they will each be seen on screen together for the first time. And the film that will release on January 7, 2022, just a week before Sankranti, is headed towards a three-way clash.
And this time, it’s a clash of the titans in Telugu cinema as the film isn’t the only Sankranti release next year, but there’s Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak and Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata that have been locked for release on January 12 and 13 respectively. Just a week apart, the two biggies will clash with S.S. Rajamouli’s film, if not on the same day, during the film’s theatrical run for sure.
Telugu cinephiles will have triple the entertainment and excitement coming their way through this three-way clash. It is being considered that RRR has an edge over Bheemla Nayak and Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn being a part of the cast of RRR, adds to the pan-Indian appeal, lending it that extra edge. While there are conjectures that Bheemla Nayak and Sarkaru Vaari Paata might therefore back off from the clash, there has been no official word from the makers yet to give any weight to the rumours.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata is the first collaboration between Mahesh Babu and director Parasuram, and it is a power-packed combination, given the star power of Mahesh Babu on one hand, and a slate of blockbuster movies helmed by Parasuram in the past. And, Pawan Kalyan starrer Bheemla Nayak, helmed by Saagar K Chandra that also features Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen and Samuthirakani in key roles is another potential winner. Saagar K Chandra has a track record of producing critically acclaimed films like Appatlo Okadundevadu and Ayyare. The film will see Daggubati play the antagonist.
The triad of films coming on the big screen, the competition aside, will herald threefold joy to the cinephiles.
