The wait is finally over, and the excitement should be there as the first look at Samantha Ruth Prabhu from Citadel is finally out. The actor is all set for her second OTT series, which reunites her with The Family Man 2 directors Raj and DK. Not just that, Samantha will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in Citadel, and her look from the series is as interesting as ever.
In the photo, the actor is seen showing her side profile while donning a brown leather jacket and black jeans with a pair of tinted sunglasses. Samantha shows the right attitude, just like her character from the series, while posing for the photo. Prime Video shared the first look on their social media pages and captioned it, "Another pair of eyes on you."
Samantha started filming with Varun Dhawan in Mumbai about two weeks ago for her new show, Citadel India. She had been away from her job for a long time. According to a source who spoke to Pinkvilla earlier, the production team has a two-week timeline and is getting ready to make an official announcement about Samantha's involvement in Citadel, the Indian offshoot of the Russo Brothers' fictional series. Varun Dhawan has finished a four-day first schedule for the movie without Samantha. He had planned a few intense action scenes.
Shaakuntalam, Samantha's upcoming movie, is getting ready to hit theatres. The movie will debut on February 17. Gunasekhar, a well-known filmmaker, wrote and directed the movie Shaakuntalam, which also stars Dev Mohan and is based on the well-known Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa.
After the first schedule for Citadel, she will soon go back to working with Vijay Deverakonda on the Kushi sets. The first schedule of the movie, which was written and directed by Shiva Nirvana, was completed in Kashmir. The movie's producers were unable to finish the rest schedules because Samantha needed to fly to the US for myositis treatment, so they opted to push back the release date to summer 2023.
