CID has returned with its much-awaited second season. The first episode of CID 2 was released on December 21 on Sony TV and SonyLIV and fans are again in love with the iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Dayanand Shetty. Their much-loved characters ACP Pradyuman, and Inspectors Abhijeet and Daya are back with their crime cases. As the first episode was released, fans expressed their happiness on X (formerly Twitter)!

As soon as the epiosde dropped, fans took to their X accounts and shared their thoughts.

Meanwhile, fans missed Dinesh Phadnish who played the role of Inspector Fredericks. The actor sadly passed away in 2023.
In an interview with The Tribune, Daya opened up about CID 2 and said that the entire team is very excited and even the fans are thrilled as the show is returning after six years.
"People continued to follow the show, even old episodes were being re-watched! So I can’t be happier to reprise my role as the beloved Daya, who will break down even more doors in this new edition of the show," he added.
CID 2 is available every Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm, on Sony TV, and SonyLIV and you can also watch it on your OTTplay Premium subscription.
