CID 2: Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty go all out as they investigate murder case | Watch teaser

Fans are finally rejoicing as the makers of CID revealed the release date of the second season of the much-loved investigative show. The much-awaited second season will be available from December 21 on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 p.m. on Sony TV, SonyLIV as well as OTTplay Premium. Ahead of the release, the makers shared a new teaser where the iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty as ACP Pradyuman, and inspectors Abhijeet and Daya respectively are investigating a murder case. 

CID 2 new promo

On November 30, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new promo of CID 2, seemingly of the first episode. In the clip, we can see a woman getting murdered in a metro amid a huge crowd. To investigate the murder, Shivaji Satam as ACP Pdradyuman enters the scene along with his inspector Daya while inspector Abhijeet can be seen wearing a prisoner's outfit. The video also shows ACP Pradyuman fighting with a gun to catch the criminals. Another much-loved character Dr. R. P. Salunkhe (Narendra Gupta) was shown in the teaser too. Three new inspectors have been added to the cast, as per the promo.

Sharing the video, they captioned it, "Unki kahaani baaki hai jinka naam hi kaafi hai! #CID waapis aa raha hai 21st December se, Sat-Sun raat 10 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par."

Fans react to CID 2 new promo

Reacting to the video, one fan wrote, "It seems 3 new added to the cast" and mentioned the old cast that was shown in the new promo while adding names of those actors who are not back to the new season. 

Another shared, "Cid is back.. uffff everyone is coming back... can't wait for moreee." A third fan wrote, "Very excited for first episode." "Super excited," one of the comments read.

Another fan said, "I am super excited for cid season 2 first episode." 

CID cast slays Gen-Z slang like a pro

On November 26, the makers shared a new video ahead of the release of CID 2 where the iconic trio can be seen using Gen-Z terms while investigating crime cases.

While ACP Pradyuman says, "Dal mein kuch toh Sus (something is fishy) hai, hai na" Daya reveals, "Sir, witness Low-Key (kinda) kuch chhupa rahi hai. Crime batane mein hesitate kar rahi hai Sir." On the other hand, Abhijeet says, "Sir usne apne saare contacts Ghost (end/remove) kar diye hai. Radar see gayeb hai Sir. Pata nehi kaha hai."

While sharing the video, the streaming platform captioned it, "Prove ho gaya ki Team CID sirf mujrimon ko hi nahi, Gen-Z slang ko bhi slay kar sakti hai."

Meanwhile, to re-experience the first season of CID on OTT, you can head to SonyLIV. You can also stream the show on OTTplay Premium. The 2nd season will stream on Sony TV, SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium from December 21 every Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m.
