CID 2: Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman gets quirky in new video before revealing release date; fans ask 'Aur kitna wait kare?'

One of the most loved Indian television shows, CID is returning with the most-anticipated second season. The announcement was made recently and since then, fans can't wait for the release date to be disclosed. Now adding more anticipation, Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman teased fans more with the release date in a new video. 

ACP Pradyuman teases CID 2 release date

Sony Entertainment Television shared a video of Shivaji Satam on their official Instagram account. The clip featured Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman. In the video, he said that he read all the comments about CID 2's release date. Teasing fans, he quipped, "Nimbu paani toh peene do, bohut garmi hai, abhi batate hai." (Let me drink the lemon water, will tell)

Fans react to the new video

Reacting to the video, one fan wrote, "Come Soon ACP Sir." One fan guessed the release date and added, "mtlb sir garmi main aane wala hai" A third fan shared, "Shooting start ho gyi hai" Several fans dropped fire emojis as they can't wait for CID 2.

As per a Pinkvilla report, the shoot of CID Season 2 will begin around November 15. "The shoot begins around November 15, and the idea is to take the cult detective series on air in December - around the Christmas / New Year period. Over the years, audiences have given so much love to the TV show, and now is the time to give back the love to the audience," a source was quoted as saying. It also added that CID 2 will be released in December 2024.

Meanwhile, the promo of CID 2 showed a surprising face-off between Daya and Abhijeet. As ACP Pradyuman shouted "Daya", Abhijeet fired the gun. After that Daya fell from the mountain. The makers teased fans with the promo and asked them to keep an eye on Sony Entertainment Television's social media page as the release date will be out soon.

The first episode of CID was released on 21 January 1998 and it continued till 27 October 2018. Now, the second season is returning due to a massive public demand.
