One of the most loved television shows, CID, is returning with its brand new season 2 after 6 years due to high audience demand. The makers recently announced that CID has been renewed for a new season. CID 2 will soon air on Sony Entertainment Television. Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, and Aditya Shrivastava, the iconic trio of the show will return reprising their characters in the show and the announcement has already made fans excited.
Makers of CID 2 teases fans of release date
The promo shared by the makers shows Daya and Abhijeet facing off each other. While ACP Pradyuman screams "Daya", Abhijeet shoots him with a gun and the latter falls off a cliff. The makers teased fans with the promo and asked fans to keep an eye on the social media page of Sony Entertainment Television as the release date will be out soon.

As per a Pinkvilla report, the shoot of CID Season 2 will begin around November 15. "The shoot begins around November 15, and the idea is to take the cult detective series on air in December - around the Christmas / New Year period. Over the years, audiences have given so much love to the TV show, and now is the time to give back the love to the audience," a source was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, CID 2 will be released in December 2024.
