As per reports, CID 2 is going to be released in December 2024 on SonyLIV, Sony Entertainment Television as well as OTTPlay Premium.

Fans are super excited as their favorite show, CID is returning with its second season. The announcement was made a few days ago and received immense love. The iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Dayanand Shetty will be reprising their roles as ACP Pradyuman, Abhijeet, and Daya in the new season. The makers now shared a new motion poster featuring Daya and teased fans.
CID 2 new poster
On November 16, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new motion poster of CID 2 featuring Daya (played by Dayanand Shetty). In the motion poster, he can be seen flaunting his gun skills as he is all set to punish criminals.

ACP Pradyuman teases CID 2 release date
A few days ago, the makers shared a video of Shivaji Satam on their official Instagram account. The clip featured Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman. In the video, he said that he read all the comments about CID 2's release date. Teasing fans, he quipped, "Nimbu paani toh peene do, bohut garmi hai, abhi batate hai." (Let me drink the lemon water, will tell)
CID 2 possible release month
As per Pinkvilla, the shoot of CID Season 2 was supposed to be started from November 15. "The shoot begins around November 15, and the idea is to take the cult detective series on air in December - around the Christmas / New Year period. Over the years, audiences have given so much love to the TV show, and now is the time to give back the love to the audience," the source added.
The source also mentioned that CID 2 will be released in December 2024.
