CID 2: Daya Shetty announces new season will release in December; asks fans to guess the date | Watch

CID is returning with its much-anticipated season 2 due to huge public demand. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release date ever since the announcement was made. Now, a new video showed Dayanand Shetty (Inspector Daya) announcing the release month of CID 2 while teasing the release date. 

CID 2 release details

On November 22, Sony Entertainment Television shared a new video featuring Dayanand Shetty. In the clip, we can see him addressing fans' often-asked question about when CID 2 will be released. To this, he said that they are also concerned because they are only shooting now as they are also not told about the release date.

Teasing fans more, Daya added, "But it is CID which means Coming In December." He also asked fans to wait for the release date as it will be revealed soon.

Guessing the date, one fan commented, "CID Season 2 premieres around 20 to 27 December" Another said, "CID Season 2 premieres on 20 December"

CID cast keeps teasing fans

While fans have been awaiting the release day, the iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Dayanand Shetty keep teasing them through various videos. 

They also answered some fans' questions. Recently, a video shared by the makers showed Aditya Srivastava aka Inspector Abhijeet replying to a fan who teased if he remembered the episode where he forgot everything or that also he had forgotten.

Laughing, Aditya pretended to forget that episode. However, he shared, "Oh yes, Abhijeet memory loss. This episode came in 2013 and episode number was 942. Anything else?" 

Shivaji Satam on CID 2

After the first promo of CID season 2 was released, Shivaji Satam opened up about Daya and Abhijeet's characters. In the new season, Daya and Abhijeet, who once shared a close bond, will be facing off against each other as per the new promo.

"The very foundation of CID is shaken, and ACP Pradyuman's world will be turned upside down. It feels surreal to return as ACP Pradyuman after six years, a character that has received so much love and we promise a thrilling ride filled with suspense, and heart-stopping drama," the veteran actor said.

Meanwhile, once CID 2 goes on air, it will stream on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium.
