Chutney Sambhar OTT release date: Yogi Babu’s series is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar very soon

We had earlier reported that actor-comedian Yogi Babu will be headlining a series titled Chutney Sambhar for Disney+ Hotstar. The series is expected to release sometime in July, mostly in the third week of the month, nearing the weekend. However, an official announcement from the platform is yet to be made on the release date of the series.

After the ongoing Disney+ Hotstar series Uppu Puli Kaaram which revolves around a family running a hotel mess, the platform is set to churn out yet another story revolving around an eatery. Actor-comedian Yogi Babu is set to headline the upcoming web series Chutney Sambhar. It is directed by filmmaker Radha Mohan and features a star ensemble.

Chutney Sambhar is expected to be released in July, mostly in the third week of the month. An official announcement on the same is expected to be made soon, as the team is dropping more promotional material about the series. Recently, the teaser of Chutney Sambhar was released.

We are introduced to Amudha Mess, an eatery that is popular among many for its chutney and sambhar. We are shown Yogi Babu as the person heading the outlet. We are also told that Yogi Babu is the only person who knows the secret to making the dishes tasty. Soon we are told that another party is willing to trade recipes for mutual benefits. The series is expected to be a light-hearted comedy-drama.

Besides Yogi Babu, the series also stars actors Vani Bhojan, Chandramouli, Ilango Kumaravel, and Nithin Sathyaa in notable roles. Vani has earlier worked with Radha Mohan in Malaysia and Amnesia.

Isari K Ganesh of Vels Film International has produced the series, which has Prasanna S Kumar cranking the camera and Jijendran handling editing. Ajesh has been roped in to compose music, Pon Parthiban is penning dialogues and Kadhirr is at the helm of art direction.
