For the unversed, Ananya Panday's father Chunky Panday and Shah Rukh Khan were quite close to each other in their initial days in the industry. SRK was introduced with Chunky through his brother Chikki Panday. Although they don't get much time to meet these days, their friendship remained the same. Even now their daughters Ananya and Suhana Khan became BFFs, including Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor. It's like three musketeers from Gen-Z!

However, recently in an exclusive chat with Ankit Chopra on his Time Out With Ankit podcast, Chunky Panday revealed that from the very first day he knew Shah Rukh Khan would be a superstar oneday. The Housefull-actor shared that back then SRK and Gauri Khan did not have their own house. They kept renting places. They used to come to Chikki Panday’s house, they partied together, had a lot of fun. Even Gauri Khan and Ananya Panday’s mother Bhavana Panday are very good friends still now.

The 61-year-old actor shared that his brother Chikki Panday was one of the first friends of Shah Rukh Khan when he came to Mumbai. Since then he knew that SRK would definitely become a superstar one day. “Because he had that in him, you can see that fire. He is always had that. That talent has always been there with him before he became the superstar”, Panday stated.
The Aankhen-actor further shared that the Pathaan-actor has not changed a bit even now. Even at the age of 58, he's still very much energetic and enthusiastic, and loves to work and gives full dedication in each and every films.

Nevertheless, recently Chunky Panday has been dropping hints of daughter Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur’s marriage on social media. The duo has been dating each other for quite some time now. Panday and Kapur were spotted together in several events and red carpets. Last they were spotted attending Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding festivities together as a couple. When a fan page of Kho Gaye Hum Kahan-actress dropped a mushy video of the low-key couple, Chunky was seen addressing about their tying the knot in 2024 in the comments. The post instantly went viral in January, making netizens gush over Kapur and Panday.
