Chor Bazaar has all the ingredients of an ideal commercial entertainer, say Akash Puri, director Jeevan Reddy

Akash Puri and Gehna Sippy’s Chor Bazaar is among the many films that are set for a release on June 24 in Telugu cinema. Written and directed by Jeevan Reddy, the film is produced by VS Raju under IV Productions. Team Chor Bazaar had a spring in their step when a leading production house like UV Creations chose to present it.

The cast and crew of Chor Bazaar came together for a media interaction yesterday. Akash Puri said that he can’t wait for audiences to watch the film in theatres, calling it a perfect family entertainer. He thanked UV Creations for their collaboration and thanked the team, audiences for the extraordinary response to the trailer and the songs.

Jeevan Reddy expressed his happiness to team up with a friend like VS Raju for Chor Bazaar. We always wanted to make a colourful, commercial film when we teamed up and we did exactly that now, he said. The George Reddy filmmaker credited the direction team and technical crew for the result. Akash Puri was a perfect fit to play Bachchan Saab, he added.

Gehna Sippy shared, “Chor Bazaar is a perfect potpourri of love, action, drama and romance. I’m confident audiences will like it. The team has left no stone unturned to deliver a good film. I thank the producer and the director for giving me an opportunity.”

The producer VS Raju, at the event, was reminded of the time he and Jeevan became thick friends during their early days in the industry. “When he was taking up serious, intense films, I always advised him to do something in the commercial space. I liked Jeevan’s story and produced this film. The film has all ingredients to please audiences,” he said.

Cinematographed by Jagadeesh Cheekati, edited by Anwar Ali, the film has music by Suresh Bobbili. Gandhi Nadikudikar is the art director. Archana, Sunil, Sampoornesh Babu too play important roles.
