Chiyaan Vikram’s Thangalaan to release on THIS date | Read here to know more

Thangalaan is one of the much-anticipated films in Tamil cinema. Fans have been eagerly waiting to watch their favourite star Vikram onscreen. While the makers are yet to officially announce the release date, Dhananjayan of Studio Green which is bankrolling the film revealed the release date recently. Thangalaan to release on this date

Thangalaan is headlined by Vikram and is directed by Pa Ranjith. The film has been in the news for a while after it was constantly postponed, with the makers yet to announce the release date. However, in the latest, Dhananjayan of Studio Green revealed in the recent interview that Thangalaan will hit theatres on August 15.

“After we announced Kanguva update, trolls asked me when Thangalaan update will come. So here it is, we will be releasing Thangalaan on August 15. Producer Gnanavelraja is confirmed that the film will come on this date. In fact, the film is completely ready. It only has some CG works and censor to be completed. We will be sending the film for censor in July,” Dhananjayan said. With this update, makers are expected to roll out more promotional materials of the film soon.

Thangalaan is a period action drama headlined by actor Vikram. It marks the first time he will be working with filmmaker Pa Ranjith. The film also stars actors Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy and others. With music scored by GV Prakash Kumar, the film is set to explore the origins of the Kolar Gold Fields and will be loaded with many action sequences.

The film is produced by Jio Studios, Studio Green and Neelam Productions. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical rights to the movie. It will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Tamil Praba has co-written the film, which was shot by cinematographer Kishor Kumar. Selva RK has worked on the editing of Thangalaan.
