The team of Gautham Vasudev Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram dropped a brand new poster from the film on the occasion of Chiyaan Vikram's birthday. The film has been lying in the cans for a while now. Gautham Menon had surprised fans earlier when he dropped a picture along with Vikram hinting that the film's shoot had resumed.
Later, the film's music composer Harris Jayaraj had confirmed the news of the revival stating that he had started the background score of the film. His tweet read, "Started the Background score for @menongautham ‘s film #Dhruvanatchathiram. in Dolby 9.1.4 See you soon in theatres (sic)."
Dhruva Natchathiram is touted to be a spy thriller with an ensemble cast. Vikram is said to have many get-ups in the film. The star cast includes Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Parthiban, Simran, Divyadarshini, Vinayakan, Arjun Das, Raadika Sarathkumar, Vamsi Krishna, Sathish krishnan, Munna Simon, Salim Baig, Maya S Krishnan and Abhirami Venkatachalam to name a few.
Cinematography is by Jomon T John, Santha krishnan, Ravichandran and Manoj Paramahamsa. Praveen Antony is handling the editing.
In the meantime, Chiyaan Vikram is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming Mani Ratnam magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2. The actor plays Crown Prince Aditha Karikalan in the film. The second instalment will have Aditha Karikalan and Nandini (Aishwarya Rai Bacchhan) taking over each other, which is said to be one of the most awaited portions of the film.
Earlier, today the team of Vikram's Thangalaan had dropped a glimpse of Vikram's character in the film. The film, directed by Pa Ranjith is set against the backdrop of Kolar Gold Fields in the pre-independence era. Vikram has undergone a drastic makeover for the film, and the glimpse has already been turning many heads. With three films in his kitty, the year 2023 looks like a promising one for Chiyaan.
