It looks like good news is pouring for Chiyaan Vikram fans. After the announcement of Thangalaan release date yesterday, Vikram has now announced his next. The film is tentatively being referred to as Chiyaan 62 and the details of the same will be made today at 6pm.

Chiyaan 62 to be helmed by SU Arun Kumar?
The buzz is that the film will be directed by SU Arun Kumar of Chithha fame. We hear that the promo shoot has already been wrapped. Chiyaan 62 will be bankrolled by Shibu Thameens , who had earlier bankrolled the actor's Irumugan and Saamy 2. Since Chithhha opened to rave reviews from critics and audience, expectations are high from this film as well. Chithha, which has Siddharth in the lead, recently dropped in theatres and is now gearing up for its digital premiere on Disney + Hotstar.
Thangalaan to hit screens in January
In the meantime, Vikram's next with Pa Ranjith, Thangalaan is all set to drop in theatres on January 26. The teaser will be out on November 1. Vikram made the announcement on his social media handle yesterday along with a brand new poster. The film, which is bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green, will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The star cast comprises Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathi and Hari Krishnan to name a few.
Dhruva Natchathiram to drop in theatres on November 24
On the other hand, his long-delayed project, Dhruva Natchathiram, helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, is finally gearing up to hit screens on November 24. The spy thriller stars Ritu Varma, R Parthiban, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Simran, Vinayakan, Dhivyadarshini, Gautham Menon to name a few. The film has music by Harris Jayaraj. Vikram plays a covert operative who is on a mission to take down terrorists. The film is bankrolled by Ondraga Entertainment and Oruoorileoru Film House.
