Telugu OTT platform aha has been on an announcement spree lately. They had released two originals - Highway and Odela Railway Station - across as many weekends. They also announced the premiere of two other films - Pellikuturu Party and Panchatantra Kathalu - for Vinayaka Chavithi on August 31. aha will also stream another small-budget film titled Chittam Maharani in September.
For the unversed, Chittam Maharani is a romance bringing together newcomers Yazurved and Rachana Inder in lead roles. The film is directed by Akula Kasi Viswanath and jointly produced by JS Manikanta and Prasad Reddy TR under Little Thoughts Cinemas. The rom-com revolving around COVID-19 lockdown had hit theatres in the last week of June earlier this year.
The story takes off when Chaitra (Rachana Inder) is in quest of a job in Bangalore but before her plans take off, a nation-wide lockdown is imposed, and she is left without a home. She decides to take a ride back home and spots her ex Raju (Yazurved Gurram) in a bike pool app. Amidst this confusion, they head to Amalapuram. What’s in store for the couple over this journey?
