Chithha teaser: Siddharth's forthcoming film is a hard-hitting emotional drama in the offing

A couple of posters of Chithha that were out some time ago left film buffs intrigued. Siddharth is expected to play something he hasn't attempted before. The film has been bankrolled by his production house Etaki Entertainment while SU Arun Kumar of Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, Sethupathi and Sindhubaadh has helmed the movie.

A few days ago, the makers announced that the project would hit the screens on September 28. It is likely to have a clash with Iraivan, Parking, Ratham and Uyir Thamizhukku at the box office.

Hard-hitting drama in the offing

The team has unveiled its teaser now through Karthi's social media page. The actor is all praise for the makers' efforts and said that he is happy to have presented the promo. It features Siddharth as a lovable uncle to his niece. Their relationship forms the crux of the story.

However, an unexpected incident turns the protagonist's life topsy-turvy. He sets out to rectify a few things that lands him in trouble. How he overcomes the struggles forms the rest of the story. Malayalam Nimisha Sajayan plays an important character in the film which is billed as an emotional drama.

Siddharth's comeback after a short hiatus

Chithha is the actor's second release of the year after Takkar. However, the latter was completed a few years ago. The SU Arun Kumar directorial is a movie on which the actor has pinned high hopes. Dhibu Ninan Thomas's songs and Vishal Chandrasekhar's background score are expected to be highlights of the movie.

Balaji Subramanyam and Suresh A Prasad have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the project. Yugabharathi has penned lyrics for songs along with director Arun Kumar.
