Another child artiste is all set to turn a male lead in Telugu cinema. Remember the kid who lands a punch on Brahmanandam’s stomach in Athadu? Well, the kid is Deepak Saroj, who’s known for his appearances as a child actor in a handful of films involving big names like Balakrishna, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, and Ravi Teja, directors Trivikram Srinivas, Sukumar, Boyapati Sreenu.
Deepak, who has acted in many hit films like Athadu, Arya, Pournami, Bhadra, Legend, is headlining a film titled Siddharth Roy, directed by a debutant V Yeshasvi, a former associate of Harish Shankar and Vamshi Paidipally. Siddharth Roy will be jointly produced by Jaya Adapaka, Pradeep Pudi and Sudhakar Boina under Shree Radha Damodar Studios and Vihaan & Vihin Creations.
The title and the first look of the film were unveiled by leading director Harish Shankar and veteran producer. Captioned ‘an eccentric life story’, Deepak Saroj, while sporting long hair and beard, is seen smoking two cigarettes while holding a red rose in his hand in one of the posters. In another poster, he’s kissing his on-screen romantic interest, played by Tanvi Negi.
Nadini, Anand, Kalyani Natarajan and Mathew Varghese play other pivotal roles in the film which has cinematography by Sam K Naidu. Radhan scores the music for Siddharth Roy, while Prawin Pudi is the editor. Siddharth Roy has wrapped up shoot already in scenic locations of Hyderabad and Vizag. The post production formalities of the intense romance is progressing at a brisk pace.
V Yeshasvi has also written the dialogues for the film co-written by Anwar Mohammad, Ludhir Byreddy. Prithvi is the action director with Sankar and Eshwar Penti handling dance choreography. Ananth SriRam, Balaji , Purna Chary (and V Yeshasvi) are the lyricists. Chinna is the art director.
