As we inch closer to the release date, the makers of Chhaava have now started showing all out with promotions and promotional content. Yesterday, we saw the makers release multiple posters featuring Vicky Kaushal in them. But while we have only seen Kaushal in the promotional content so far, the fans were curious where Rashmika Mandanna is in all this. Turns out the makers have answered your question and have now shared two new posters featuring the Pushpa 2 star as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's wife, Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale. Rashmika Mandanna’s First Look From Chhaava Out
For the uninitiated, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under his production house Maddock Pictures, Chhaava is based on the life of Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who ruled from 1681 to 1689. The movie is set on a massive scale and also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Divya Dutta as Sambhaji Maharaj’s stepmother Soyarabai, and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The new posters are now here to excite us for the trailer that released on January 22, 2025.
The posters shared by Maddock Films in collaboration with Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and other team members feature Mandanna in the center. One has her overlooking an event of what looks like a Yagna, and the other has her in what seems like the throne room. The actor can be seen dressed in a traditional Maharashtrian ensemble with heavy jewelry. What is interesting is that the first poster has her smiling, and the second seems like she is tense about something that is happening. The caption for the poster reads, “Behind every great king, there stands a queen of unmatched strength. Introducing @rashmika_mandanna as Maharani Yesubai - the pride of Swarajya.”

Vicky Kaushal On Chhaava
Meanwhile, recently at CNN-News18’s Indian of the Year 2024 Awards, Vicky Kaushal, talking about taking up Chhaava, said, "When you start discussing an opportunity like Chhaava and when it comes your way, Laxman Utekar is the director of the film, and Dinesh Vijan is the producer of the film, and it's the same team that worked with in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. So Laxman Sir discussed this opportunity with me when we were shooting that film.”
“The first feeling is just, will I be able to do justice to such an incredible legacy? But that's what excites me the most as well. Also, every opportunity like this, when you get a great man like Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, it is also a beautiful opportunity to understand their culture, their history, their values, their beliefs, and their love for the country,” he added.
