Chhaava Box Office Day 4 Prediction: Having a blockbuster potential movie release this early in 2025 is a great boost for Indian cinema, and Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, has proven to be a winner in its opening weekend. The period actioner, featuring Kaushal as the legendary Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has become one of the most revered and celebrated films on the Indian big screen. Anticipated for a long time, the movie finally hit theaters on February 14, 2025, and has emerged as the biggest success story of the year so far. Crossing ₹100 crore on its first Sunday, Chhaava is now entering its first weekday run. Below is everything you need to know.
For the uninitiated, Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Pictures, is based on the life of the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who ruled from 1681 to 1689. The film is set on a grand scale and stars Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Divya Dutta as Sambhaji Maharaj's stepmother Soyarabai, and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. It premiered in Indian cinemas on February 14, 2025.
Having crossed ₹100 crore within its first three days, Chhaava has maintained a strong momentum. However, the real test begins today as it enters the weekday market, where it must sustain its performance. Advance bookings for Monday indicate a solid start, with early estimates suggesting collections between ₹20-₹21 crore at the Indian box office. If the film manages to maintain this trend throughout the weekdays, it will likely see a major boost in its second weekend as well.

Following a 19.35% increase on day 2 compared to day 1, Chhaava continued its remarkable upward trajectory on day 3, experiencing a 30% surge. On its third day of release, the Laxman Utekar directorial earned ₹48.5 crore at the Indian box office, according to Sacnilk. With ₹31 crore on day 1 and ₹37 crore on day 2, the movie now boasts a total domestic collection of ₹116.5 crore. While weekdays will determine its long-term hold, the overwhelming hype and strong audience reception suggest Chhaava is unlikely to face any major decline.
Owing to the overwhelming response, many cinemas in Pune have now introduced 6:00 AM shows—a rare feat. Since Sunday, several theaters in Mumbai and Pune have extended their screening schedules, introducing midnight shows. According to Hindustan Times, theaters in smaller centers have also begun adding 6 AM and 1 AM shows, as per exhibitors. Midnight screenings have been extended to 12:45 AM, 1:00 AM, 1:15 AM, and even 1:30 AM. However, many of these additional shows are still in the process of being implemented.
