It has been a while since Attack on Titan ended and the finale, streamed on November 4, 2024, left a lot of people disappointed. Given how the anime actually went, the final episode was not like how fans expected it to be. Well, the makers have heard all pleas and are here with an alternate ending. What's more, this episode is scheduled to release sooner than you expected.

So, when will Attack on Titan alternate ending be out?

Attack on Titan's alternate ending, Attack on Titan: Requiem, is scheduled to release in 13 days. Yes, it will be out for the viewers on January 15, 2025. While Eren might remain dead (since he died many episodes prior), a few things would definitely change.

An alternate ending as per fans' wishes

The makers collaborated with AoT fans to decide the kind of alternate ending that should be. Owing to this, the storyline will be changed for what was the original ending, but ended up disappointing many fans. The alternate ending episode will be broadcast in Japan and is likely to also be out on Crunchyroll at the same time, on January 15.

Will Eren Yeger live?

Eren sacrificed himself for the greater good in the original finale arc. The fans were not too happy about it, but will he live, is a question waiting to be answered. It is unlikely to happen, but never say never, right?

The direction in which the finale episode went is also likely to change. This means that Armin might not lead the peace association between Paradis and the outside world. Hange might also not have to die in the alternate ending planned, but the whole truth will be out on January 15.

All episodes of Attack on Titan are available in both Japanese and English dubbed version on Crunchyroll. The makers are yet to confirm if the alternate ending will already make it to the streaming platform while being broadcast in Japan, or stream later. However, one an expect maximum delay of a day, if usual timeline of TV to OTT streaming on Crunchyroll is to be considered.
