Cheeni 2: Madhumita Sarcar and Aparajita Adhya’s film gets a release date

Cheeni by Mainak Bhaumik was released in 2020 and is now all set to return with its sequel. In Cheeni 2, we will once again see Madhumita Sarcar and Aprajita Adhya in the lead. However, unlike the first film, they are not a mother-daughter duo anymore. It is about friends, Madhumita and Aprajita. The official poster and release date of the film has just been unveiled by the production house. 

Cheeni 2 is set to release on August 11, along with Bomkesh O Durgo Rahoshyo, directed by Birsa Dasgupta, and Gadar 2 by Sunny Deol. So, at the box office, there will be a clash between these three films. It remains to be seen which film will dominate the box office, but one thing is clear: within this competition, Mainak’s Cheeni will spread its sweetness.

The official poster reveals the four main female characters of the film: Madhumita, Aprajita, Pinky, and Lily Chakraborty. All four are seen wearing black glasses and stylish outfits. Their appearance reflects their personalities, and it is evident that an amazing female camaraderie will be portrayed in this film.

The music direction of this film is done by Mainak Mazoomdar, and the cinematography is done by Modhura Palit. The film is being produced by SVF Entertainment. Mainak shared about the film, “Aprajita Adhya’s unhappy married life will be depicted here. She leaves her family and comes to her father’s house. In her father’s house, there is a maid named Madhumita. Their friendship develops, and the film will showcase their lives and relationships.”

Apart from the main characters, we will also see Anirban Chakrabarti, Soumya Mukherjee, and others in other roles. Anirban will be paired with Aprajita in the film. Another highlight of the film is the presence of popular small-screen actressAnnwesha Hazra. She will make her big screen debut through this film, adding more charm to the project.
