Murder on the Orient Express ( 2017) - Disney+ Hotstar

Renowned British actor and filmmaker Kenneth Branagh slips into the role of one of Agatha Christie’s most iconic characters – detective Hercule Poirot. The 2017 film, Murder on the Orient Express, is based on the iconic eponymous novel as Poirot investigates the murder of a fellow passenger on board the Orient Express bound for London. The film is helmed by its lead star Branagh and features an ensemble cast of Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr., Daisy Ridley, and Tom Bateman.

Shubho Mahurat (2003) - Prime Video

Helmed by Rituparno Ghosh, the Bengali mystery thriller Shubho Mahurat is based on Agatha Christie's novel The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side, featuring another iconic Christie character – Miss Marple. The plot revolves around the mysterious death of a popular actress after the "Shubho Mahurat" – the celebration of film production's filming of its first shot. The Bengali adaptation garnered two National Awards, and the film stars Sharmila Tagore, Rakhee Gulzar, Nandita Das, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Anindya Chatterjee in prominent roles.

Why Didn't They Ask Evans? (2022) - OTTplay Premium

British actor Hugh Laurie, who is best known for his turn as Dr.House in the hit medical drama House, and for his roles in various British comedies in the ‘80s and ‘90s, serves as the director of the mini-series Why Didn't They Ask Evans? Based on the hit Agatha Christie novel, the story follows the murder mystery-solving escapades of Bobby Jones, a vicar’s son, and Lady Frankie Derwent, a wealthy socialite. The series stars Will Poulter in the lead along with Lucy Boynton, while Hugh Laurie, Emma Thompson, and Conleth Hill among others essay other prominent roles.

Death on the Nile (2022) - Disney+ Hotstar

Kenneth Branagh returns to play the lead as Hercule Poirot, and also serves as the director, for the 2022 film Death on the Nile. The plot revolves around Poirot, whose Egyptian vacation turns into a murder investigation after the murder of a young heiress on board a cruise ship on the Nile River. The film features a star-studded ensemble of Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Letitia Wright, and Ali Fazal among others.

And Then There Were None (1945) - Plex, Tubi

The 1945 film And Then There Were None is widely regarded as one of the best Agatha Christie adaptations of all time. The plot follows ten strangers who are invited to a mansion on a secluded island, but unbeknownst to them they have been lured to the location to pay for a crime they committed in the past. The film and the story have inspired countless other adaptations and plot devices over the years. Directed by René Clair, the film has garnered several awards and remains one of the best films in the genre.

Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989) - OTTplay Premium

Long before Kenneth Branagh brought Hercule Poirot to life on the silver screen David Suchet played the ace detective to near perfection in the acclaimed 1989 TV series Agatha Christie's Poirot. The series follows Poirot on his many adventures as he helps law enforcement solve some of the most mysterious crimes. The long-running series ran for 13 seasons between 1989-2013 featuring 70 episodes.

The Pale Horse (2020) - OTTplay Premium

The 2020 mini-series stars Rufus Sewell in the lead as Mark Easterbrook, a man investigating a series of eerie deaths. A trio of witches have been accused of these murders, but Easterbrook believes there is more to the mystery than just witchcraft, as he pieces together several clues to unravel the case. The series is helmed by Leonora Lonsdale and also stars Kaya Scodelario, Sean Pertwee, and Georgina Campbell among others in prominent roles.

Agatha Christie's Marple (2004) - OTTplay Premium

The TV series tells the story of the elderly woman Miss Jane Marple, who uses her gifts as a sharp detective to solve various murder cases that have bewildered the police in and around her town. Geraldine McEwan essayed the role of the legendary Agatha Christie character for the first three seasons until her retirement, before Julia McKenzie took over the reins from season four until its sixth and final season.
