Ravi Teja, who was last seen in the action thriller Ravanasura and also bankrolled it with Abhishek Nama, dons the producer’s hat again for Changure Bangaru Raja, a crime comedy written and directed by Satish Varma. Care of Kancharapalem, Narappa fame Karthik Rathnam plays the lead role in the film that also stars Satya, Ravi Babu in crucial roles.
RT Teamworks and Frame By Frame Pictures jointly back the rural comic caper whose supporting cast comprises Goldie Nissy, Nitya Sri, Ester Noronha, Ajay, Josh Ravi as well. The film’s teaser was unveiled by Ravi Teja today. The story unfolds through a dog, with Sunil’s voice over, which is injured because of three people in a road mishap. Their characters are introduced in the glimpse later.
While Karthik Rathnam, as Bangarraju, is a money-minded worker in a mechanic shop and finds the girl of his dreams soon, his friend Thatha Rao (Satya) is a confused youngster who is unlucky with love. Ravi Babu is cast as a middle-aged man trying to woo a woman of his age. The focus suddenly shifts to a murder of a man named Somanaidu and Bangarraju is labelled a suspect in the case.
The cops are all out to catch the murderer and the teaser hints that the dog will play a crucial role in helping them nab the culprit. Besides a dose of crime, humour, the film promises a good mix of action and suspense too. It’s evident that Satish has a simple yet effective premise to grab eyeballs. The film’s release date hasn’t been announced yet.
Sundar NC cranks the camera for the film while Krishna Saurabh is the composer. Karthik Vunnava is the editor and Janardhan Pasumarthi is behind the film’s dialogues. Narni Srinivas is the art director. Swetha Kakarlapudi and Shalini Nambu are the creative producers.
