Chandu Champion box office collection day 4: Filmmaker Kabir Khan's movie, starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, hit the big screen on June 14. Based on Murlikant Petkar's life (India's first Paralympic gold medalist), Chandu Champion also stars Aroh Welankar and Aniruddh Dave in key roles. Although the film got a decent start at the box office, it gained momentum over the next two days. However, the sports drama collected only Rs 6.01 crore on day four.

Chandu Champion earned Rs 6.01 crore on day four at the box office. Considering this, the total collection of Kartik Aaryan's film is Rs 30.12 crore. That said, the Kabir Khan directorial holds the potential to perform well at the ticket window.

In a recent interview with the Free Press Journal, Kartik said the box office numbers of the film wouldn't matter. "I hope people will remember this role in my filmography. It’s the story that is the need of the hour. The film will inspire millions of people to achieve their dreams. I feel such a character comes rarely in life. Box office numbers won’t matter," the actor said.

Aaryan added that the role of Chandu Champion has been his toughest yet. The Bollywood actor underwent a massive physical transformation for Kabir's film. He reduced his weight from 90 kg to 72 kg. The actor's body fat was reduced to 7% from 39%.

Once Chandu Champion's theatrical run concludes, the film will have its digital release on a streaming platform. The buzz is that the sports drama will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. But the makers have yet to confirm the same. In fact, the OTT release date of the film isn't locked yet.
