HBO Max has announced the first two cast members of their highly anticipated series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. HBO Max made it official on June 4 that Chandler Kinney and Maia Reficco have been finalised to play significant roles in the Pretty Little Liars reboot series..

According to a report by Variety, Chandler Kinney will be playing the role of Tabby, who is an aspiring director and a horror movie buff. Meanwhile Maia Reficco will play Noa, who is a striving sardonic track star, struggling to get her life back to normal after spending a summer in juvenile detention. Both the actresses also confirmed the news through their official Instagram handles.

Kinney has started in movies such as Disney’s Zombies 2 and series like Lethal Weapon, American Horror Story and Girl Meets World. Reficco is best known for her role in the Nickelodeon series Kally’s Mashup.

Lisa Soper, known for her work in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, will direct the first two episodes of the upcoming series. The series will be headed and written by Riverdale’s Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa along with executive producers Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo.

The Pretty Little Liars reboot was first announced by HBO Max in September 2020 and reportedly the new series will follow a different generation of Pretty Little Liars who are being hunted by an anonymous person seeking revenge. A release date for Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has not been announced yet.

The original Pretty Little Liars series ran for 7 seasons from 2010 to 2016 and featured stars such as Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Troian Bellisario, Ian Harding, Ashley Benson and Tyler Blackburn. The show was loosely based on a mystery drama novel series, which followed the mysterious happenings in the life of four high school girls, written by author Sara Shepard.
