Chamak trailer: Paramvir Cheema- Gippy Grewal's musical thriller showcases how a 'star is born' amid chaos

Chamak is the upcoming musical thriller series starring Paramvir Cheema and Gippy Grewal. Created and directed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan, the show is set to release on SonyLIV soon. Meanwhile, the makers have dropped the official trailer that sees a young aspiring rapper's journey in finding his identity as well as his roots.

The latest trailer begins by showcasing Grewal as a famous musician singing on a stage among a huge crowd. As soon as he gets his fans to tap their feet on his music, he gets shot in the broad daylight amid the event. The video takes the story a few decades ahead, where his son living in Canada gets back to India to find his identity as a talented rapper-singer as well as to know about his roots. 

The upcoming series appears to be packed with an intense story along with multiple musical breaks. Being called a musical thriller, Chamak definitely seems to offer a full package including music, action, drama, thrill and more. Chamak showcases how a star is born amid chaos.

The makers dropped the latest trailer video with a special caption that talks about the plot of the show, which reads, "Chamak follows the story of Kaala, a young aspiring rapper who comes back to Punjab from Canada and unravels the death of Taara Singh – the legendary singer who was shot dead in the midst of a packed performance. (sic)."
