On Monday, Anushka Sharma was geared up in the signature blue jersey of the Indian team as she started the Kolkata-leg shooting for Jhulan Goswami’s biopic, Chakda ’Xpress at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The actress reached Eden Gardens in the evening under heavy security to shoot under the magical floodlights of the stadium. OTTplay got hold of photos of the actress shooting at the iconic stadium.
As per sources, the shooting started in the evening. All the gates of the stadium were heavily secured by the authorities. Anushka started shooting at around 8 pm and was scheduled to shoot till late in the evening. On October 20, the actress is slated to travel to Howrah for further shooting. Meanwhile, Jhulan is currently in Vizag with the Bengal team.
Anushka, along with her daughter Vaamika, came to Kolkata on Sunday. The actress is scheduled to shoot till the end of this month. The shooting of Chakda ’Xpress started in June this year and Anushka took to her social media to announce the commencement of the shooting. “Back to where I belong… #ChakdaXpress #ShootBegins #ChakdaXpressDay1 @jhulangoswami @prositroy @kans26 @netflix_in @officialcsfilms,” she wrote with a video. She started training for the film in the UK in August.
Produced by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Ssharma’s Clean Slate Filmz, the film is directed by Prosit Roy. The film will be released on Netflix.
