In the 10th edition of the Celebrity Cricket League, the 8 participating teams had been split into two groups of 4 each, with Group A playing Group B, so much so that each team plays 4 group stage matches. The matches – T20 played in Test format with 4 innings of 10 overs each, of which, the first 3 will be Powerplay.

The tournament began on February 23, with a three-day inaugural weekend in Sharjah, where 5 matches were played. A week later, all the teams headed to Hyderabad, where 6 matches took place over three days. At the moment, but for the Bengal Tigers and Punjab De Sher, every other team has played 3 matches each, with only the Karnataka Bulldozers having won all of their encounters so far.

Next weekend, from March 8 to 10, 5 more matches will be played, with 3 held in Chandigarh and the last 2 in Thiruvananthapuram. Punjab De Sher, Bengal Tigers, Bhojpuri Dabanggs and Mumbai Heroes head to Chandigarh, while all the south teams congregate in Thiruvananthapuram.

At the end of the group stage, the top 4 teams will progress to the next level, wherein the first match is a qualifier between the top 2 teams. For instance, at the moment, The Bulldozers and Rhinos are at No. 1 and 2 and should that continue, they will play each other once again. This will be followed by an eliminator match between No. 3 and 4, which, right now is the Telugu Warriors and Mumbai Heroes.

The second qualifier will have the loser of qualifier 1 play the winner of the Eliminator, with the final then being played between the winners of qualifier 1 and 2. This stage of the tournament will be held in Vizag between March 15 and 17. The matches are being live streamed on JioCinema, Doordarshan and Sony Ten 5.
