CCL 2023: Akhil Akkineni, Pradeep Bogadi & more - top run scorers of the league

Following eighteen hard-fought games and a few upsets along the way, we have reached the much-awaited grand finale of the latest edition of the Celebrity Cricket League. On March 24, four teams battled it out for the chance to lift the coveted CCL 2023 trophy and in this pursuit, two of those four teams had to bid goodbye to the competition. 

The Mumbai Heroes first took on the Bhojpuri Dabanggs and the two teams put on an absolute thriller for the fans. Dabanggs stole the game away from the Heroes with a momentous last-ball six and earned themselves a well-deserved place in the finals.

In the same vein, the Karnataka Bulldozers, who had topped the league-stage points table with an unblemished run, took on Akhil Akkineni's Telugu Warriors in the second semifinal and won the stiff challenge on the back of a solid performance.

However, keeping results aside, one has seen CCL 2023 serve as a great platform for batsmen to shine and show off their skills, much to the delight of the fans. From Akhil Akkineni, Vishnu Vishal to Rajeev Pillai, some of the most popular actors have come to the fore and amassed runs at will and lent the exciting league the credibility it needed. Here's a quick look at the top 10 run scorers of CCL 2023:

Akhil Akkineni

The Agent actor has been in red-hot form throughout the tournament and has been the highlight with his blistering knocks, including 3 back-to-back fifties. He tops the list with 324 runs!

Aditya Ojha

Bhojpuri Dabanggs' Aditya Ojha was instrumental in his team's great in the league stage and his tally of 284 runs earned them a much-deserved semifinal spot. However, he would think that he missed out in the knockout game against Mumbai Heroes as he could manage only a few runs.

Sharad Kelkar

The very popular actor and dubbing artist remained a high-impact player for the Mumbai Heroes and he mustered up a total of 248 runs. Sharad Kelkar also managed to pick up a few key wickets as a bowler.

Jisshu Sengupta

The Bengal Tigers might have had a very disappointing CCL 2023 but their captain Jisshu Sengupta was in great form throughout. The talented actor scored 219 runs in total.

Bengal Tigers' Jammy Banerjee has been arguably their best performer this CCL 2023, both with the bat and the ball. He scored 209 runs in total in his 4 games for the Tigers.

Vishnu Vishal

The popular Tamil star may not have managed to secure his team a berth in the semifinals but individually, he had a pretty good tournament with 208 runs.

Pradeep Bogadi

Karnataka Bulldozers captain and one of the team's most valued players, Pradeep Bogadi has been a revelation this CCL 2023. With the ball, he has picked up several crucial wickets and with the bat, he has managed to score as many as 203 runs. He stands at the eighth position on this list.

Rajeev Pillai

The dashing Kerala Blasters batter would have liked to see his team do better this season, considering that the Blasters lost all their four league-stage games. Rajeev Pillai scored 187 runs in CCl 2023.

Ashwin Babu

Another vital cog in the Telugu Warriors wheel, Ashwin Babu has pitched in with a few valuable contributions with the bat. The Raju Gari Gadhi actor scored 175 runs in total
