Two months after its theatrical release, Challengers has made it to OTT in India. But not for all subscribers; the film is streaming on Prime Video, available to rent for Rs. 149. Zendaya, Josh O'Connor, and Mike Faist feature in Challengers, a romantic sports drama released in 2024.

The film centres around the love triangle between an injured tennis star turned coach (Zendaya), her low-circuit tennis player ex-boyfriend (O'Connor), and her tennis champion husband (Faist) across thirteen years of their shared relationship, culminating in the latter two's match at the ATP Challenger Tour.
Luca Guadagnino's imaginative film Challengers features Zendaya as Tashi Duncan, a tennis prodigy turned teacher who is a formidable presence on and off the court. Tashi's plan for her husband Mike Faist's redemption takes an unexpected turn when he must face Josh O'Connor, his former best friend and Tashi's ex-boyfriend, a champion on a losing streak. In the midst of a tense situation where their pasts and present intertwine, Tashi finds herself asking, How much will it take to emerge victorious?

Critical reception and box office performance
The movie made nearly $94 million at the box office, and critics gave a positive response. At the box office, it was a huge hit.
Earlier, Zendaya reacted to her casting as the lead in Challengers, stating that it was refreshing to portray a character who had outgrown childhood. Seeing aspects of her life that she hasn't experienced yet—like getting married—was also fascinating. The actor doesn't have a child, so she doesn't exactly hold those benchmarks in her mind.
