The upcoming Joju George starrer Madhuram is to have an OTT release soon. Makers announced with a poster that the movie will be streamed on SonyLiv. Though the release date is yet-to-be-out, the movie is expected to be a Christmas release.

While Madhuram is all set to hit the OTTs, the movie is expected to be a unique, untold story from the ambitious filmmaker. In an earlier interview with Cinema Express, the director had hinted about the same and said the movie will be a never-before-seen story. The plot will follow the bystanders at a government hospital while narrating multiple love stories of different periods simultaneously.

Ahammed also thinks that his real-life observations and experiences had given him the idea of narrating a more mature love story compared to June, which made him jump off to the idea about bystanders who hail from different places, later bond like a family.

Besides Joju, the movie will also feature Shruti Ramachandran, Arjun Ashokan, Nikhila Vimal, Indrans, Jagadish, and Jaffer Idukki among others. The script is penned by Ashiq Aimar, while Jithin Stanislaus is behind the camera, who also shot for June.

The team had released an appealing teaser earlier, that features Joju and Shruti on the backdrop of Valentine’s day. Besides the couple, the movie will also turn its focus to a married couple, played by Arjun Ashokan and Nikhila Vimal.
