The much-awaited teaser from Dhanush's upcoming film, Captain Miller, was released on the occasion of his birthday today (July 28). The teaser has already become one of the most-watched videos on social media. Here are five takeaways from the teaser of the Arun Matheswaran directorial.
Dhanush plays a rebel leader
We know that Captain Miller is set in the pre-independence era. Going by the teaser, it looks like Dhanush plays a rebel, who is most wanted by the British empire. The film seems to be an out and out war film where Miller is on a killing spree and at the forefront driving the battle with vengeance. This seems to be one of the most violent characters that Dhanush has played in his career so far.
Three looks of Dhanush?
Going by a lookout poster in the beginning of the trailer, it looks like Dhanush will have three looks -a clean shaven one, one with a moustache and other with his beard and long hair. It will be interesting to see the myriad looks.
Raw and gritty scenes
Arun Matheshwaran, a former assistant of Thiagaran Kumararaja, is someone who is known for his violent action sequences. A case in point are his previous ventures Rocky and Saani Kaayidham, which showed violence in all its extremes. With one of the posters from the film, featuring Dhanush as the last man standing in a battlefield, it looks like there's going to be some heavy-duty war sequences in the film.
The ensemble star cast
The teaser also gave a sneak peek into the rest of the star cast. Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar is seen in a majestic look in the battlefield who stylishly arrives riding his horse. He is seen sporting a moustache. It looks like Shiva Rajkumar and Dhanush will have an interesting face-off. One also gets glimpses of the film's leading lady Priyanka Mohan holding a gun, Sundeep Kishan and John Kokken as well.
