Captain Miller on OTT - Where to stream Dhanush starrer after its theatrical run

Tamil star Dhanush's latest movie Captain Miller opened across worldwide cinemas on Friday, coinciding with the impending Pongal festival celebrations. The film's official digital partner has been revealed. Amazon Prime Video owns streaming rights to this period drama. 

As per the prevailing industry practice, most of the new South Indian movies arrive on streaming within four weeks of their initial theatrical release. An official confirmation on the OTT release date of Captain Miller is awaited. 

Captain Miller has taken a very grand opening across the world. The film is expected to become one of the biggest hits in Dhanush's career. The initial reviews for the movie were also very favourable. Dhanush's performance in the movie has garnered unanimous praise from everyone.

"3 years of sweat, blood and sacrifice from my team to you all. Captain Miller from today OM NAMASHIVAYAA," tweeted Dhanush following the release of the film. 

In Captain Miller, Dhanush plays a member of an oppressed community living in British India. Dhanush's Analeesan aka Captain Miller joins the imperial army driven by his urge to achieve liberation from the mistreatments stemming from casteist practices of the time. 

However, Miller's life undergoes a massive transformation when he's forced to open fire against his own countrymen during a peaceful protest. Traumatized by the senseless violence, Miller turns against the British Empire. Instead of mindlessly following the orders of his bosses, he becomes the British's worst nightmare. 

Captain Miller marks director Arun Matheswaran's first movie to get a wide release worldwide. The director's last two movies were small-budget movies. His debut movie Rocky only received a token release in cinemas, while his second film Saani Kaayidham directly debuted on streaming owing to the pandemic. His previous movies became an impressive show-reel to earn the confidence of big production houses and stars in his talent.

Besides Dhanush, Captain Miller also stars Shivarajkumar, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Aditi Balan, Sundeep Kishan, Edward Sonnenblick and John Kokken.
