Captain Miller makers Sathya Jyothi Films to collaborate with Kiccha Sudeep?

In February 2020, the Tamil Nadu based production and distribution house Sathya Jyothi Films had announced a return to making Kannada cinema with a movie starring Century Star Shivarajkumar. This was to be the actor’s 123rd movie, which was to be directed by Ravi Arasu, with music by Charan Raj. But the film failed to take off after the muhurtha and the production house had returned to making Tamil cinema only.

That, we hear, is about to change. Over the past several months, there have been rumours that TG Thyagarajan’s banner has been in talks with Kiccha Sudeep for a collaboration. Sudeep had earlier said that he had greenlit three projects that he is quite excited about. While the first of them, is his 46th film, the as-yet-untitled film with Kalaippuli S Thanu, directed by Vijay Kartikeya, it was believed that Vikrant Rona maker Anup Bhandari would be next in line with Billa Ranga Baashaa. This film, according to a source, was supposed to see Sudeep collaborate with Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers.

The latest rumour in tinsel town is that Sathya Jyothi Films is definitely on board to produce a film with Sudeep and that it could, in all probability, be his next, #Kiccha47. This, say industry insiders, would mean that Anup’s film will be delayed further. The filmmaker had earlier said that Billa Ranga Baashaa is a film that needs a lot of time in pre-production, as it is a story set in the future and has to be shot on sets.

Meanwhile, Sudeep is expected to begin shooting for #Kiccha46 next week. According to reports, he has allocated dates for about 60-odd days only to complete the project. By then, he will begin his hosting duties on Bigg Boss Kannada as well, so the timeline on #Kiccha47 will depend on this schedule as well.
