Arya is going all out to promote his next release, Captain across multiple languages. Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the female lead in the film that also stars Simran, Harish Uthaman, Kavya Shetty, Gokulnath, to name a few. The film directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan is releasing in Telugu through well-known distributor Sudhakar Reddy, father to actor Nithiin. Captain's pre-release event was held in Hyderabad yesterday, during which actor Arya spoke about the film and remembered his Telugu beginnings.
"Varudu was my first Telugu film and I had shared screen space with Allu Arjun in it. The film had dialogues in refined Telugu and I had a tough time getting them right. I learnt a lot as an actor with that film and became good friends with Allu Arjun. It's important to break the mould in films often because there's great danger of restricting ourselves to a comfort zone. I am never in favour of that. I am not even scared of failure but I want to try my hand in different films," he said.
"Audiences always likes to watch different films and I promise Captain is a unique film. My wife, actress Sayyeshaa was very excited that Sudhakar Reddy was releasing the film in Telugu (he had also produced her Telugu debut Akhil). She assured me that Captain was going to be a blockbuster. I hope Sudhakar Reddy's victorious run continues with Captain (after Vikram). He's a very positive person and I'm confident of the film's success in Telugu."
The actor felt Ramajogaiah Sastry's lyrics have shaped up better than the Tamil version. Rakendu Mouli, who also wrote for Sarpatta Parambarai's Telugu version, has penned the dialogues for Captain. "The film has come out very well. I had a good experience working with Shakti Soundar Rajan; I associated with him for Teddy too. I had a fanboy moment working with Simran, many from my team even took selfies with her during the shoot. Aishwarya Lekshmi is talented has done a commendable job too," he signed off.
