Byomkesh Season 6

One of Hoichoi’s most popular shows, Byomkesh is back with season 6, where we see Satyanweshi determined to uncover the truth behind a seemingly perfect murder, as he delves deeper into another adventure along with his friend Ajit. The story revolves around the mysterious Samaddar family with hidden motives being revealed as the plot thickens. The narrative also engages in an active political commentary about the horrors of Indian Partition, and the cunning political backdrop of it.

Bonyo Premer Golpo Season 2

Continuing with the story of Mrinalini, the show starts with the murder of a doctor at a mental asylum, where Mrinalini is being treated, casting suspicion on all the inmates. A world of its own, we witness what drove these people to madness, blurring the line between right and wrong. A psychological thriller capable of messing with the minds of the viewers, the show has ample twists and turns, managing to keep the audience at the edge of their seats.

Manbhanjan

An adaptation of Tagore’s ageless classic, the show chronicles the journey of a woman, as she decides to cross the boundaries of her home, embarking on a path of self-discovery, love and identity. Directed by Abhijit Chowdhury, the two-part miniseries is enjoyable to say the least, with commendable acting, taut script, stirring music and able direction.

Rahasya Romancha Season 3

Directed by Abhirup Ghosh, the show was initially meant to be a stand-alone thriller movie, but after the immense popularity of the first season, it was renewed for Season 2. Now it is back with a third instalment, involving a concoction of drama, suspense, action and definitely thrill. It follows detective Mora, as he tries to solve a mystery, all the while unravelling his own unique mental disorder.

Break Up Story

With many stories about forever love, breakups are a no-zone, which tingles the dark side of romanticism. Tackling such an issue, the series narrates five short stories and the couples in them, as they experience this heart-aching phase of love. However, it manages to pack a climactic punch at the end and is worth a watch.

Nokol Heere

Following the success of the prequel, Private investigator Damayanti is back with another tale of suspense, as she tries to unknot a domestic homicide and expose the suspicious events that led to it, indicating the involvement of many hidden players in the game.
