It is known that H Vinoth's Valimai, starring Ajith in the lead, will have a theatrical release on January 2022. The trailer of the action thriller produced by Boney Kapoor is eagerly awaited by cinephiles. The team had revealed a short teaser earlier. The film has Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda and Yogi Babu among others playing crucial roles.

The director is also said to have committed Thala 61 next with the same actor and producer. The untitled project will bring together Vinoth, Ajith and Boney Kapoor for the third time after Nerkonda Paarvai (streaming on Zee5) and Valimai.

Now, another interesting news doing the rounds is that Vijay Sethupathi might team up with Vinoth. The latter is said to have narrated a story to the former and there are speculation about the duo collaborating soon. However, it isn't sure if the actor is playing a role in Thala 61 or doing a different project altogether with the filmmaker.

Nevertheless, Kollywood film lovers are kicked about the news and they hope the news becomes true. Interestingly, today marks the fourth year of director's Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), starring Karthi in the lead.

If at all Vijay Sethupathi is a part of Thala 61, it will be a rare feat for the actor as he has already shared screen space with stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Chiranjeevi and Sudeep. He was roped in to play a crucial role in Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, too, but he was replaced by Naga Chaitanya in the last minute.

Sethupathi, who had a slew of releases in the recent times, has Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal up next for release in December.
