It was announced a few days ago that director Sarjun KM's latest film Burqa will have a direct release on April 7. Kalaiyarasan and Mirnaa play lead roles in the movie which was nominated in some of the prestigious film festivals sometime ago. Gautham Menon and Pa Ranjith have unveiled its trailer now.

The promo video has given away the indie film's plot; it revolves around an unknown man who seeks refuge in a woman's home. The latter deals with a mundane life with her husband who believes in suppressing his life partner. How the unexpected entry of the unknown man changes her perception towards life forms the rest of the story.
Suriyanarayanan and GM Kumar are others who play key roles in the project which has cinematography by G Balamurugan and music composed by R Sivatmikha. B Pravin Baaskar and Madhan have handled editing and art direction respectively for Burqa which has screenplay by Anusuya Vasudevan.
E Mohan of SKLS Galaxy Mall has produced the movie which has Muruhaveni penning dialogues for it along with director Sarjun. Dinakar Babu and Sara Mohan have co-produced the film under the banner of Madras Stories.
Burqa is Kalaiyarasan's second direct OTT release this year after Sengalam which was dropped on Zee5 a couple of weeks ago. The actor was previously seen in Silambarasan's Pathu Thala which hit the screens last Friday.
The film is Sarjun's fourth continuous OTT release after Addham, Navarasa and Blood Money which were dropped on aha, Netflix and Zee5 respectively. The team is expected to come up with more promo videos in the coming days.
