Burqa actress Mirnaa Menon joins Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer?

Speculations are rife that actress Mirnaa Menon is the latest addition to Superstar Rajinikanth's action entertainer Jailer. Mirnaa was earlier seen in the critically acclaimed film Burqa and the web series Anantham, which is streaming on ZEE5. The actress has worked in a number of films earlier, which includes Big Brother, Crazy Fellow and Ugram. If the actress indeed gets on board of Rajinikanth's Jailer, this will be a huge feather on the cap in her career. An official confirmation from the team is awaited about the same.

The shooting for Jailer is in full swing and from time to time, pictures of the Superstar meeting his fans on set have been surfacing online. Jailer is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, marking his maiden collaboration with the actor. The title announcement poster of the film revealed a blood-soaked meat cleaver dangling down a chain. Later, Rajinikanth's look from Jailer, too, was revealed. The star cast of Jailer includes Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi and Vinayakan. Jailer has music by Anirudh Ravichander, and this will be the third time that he will be scoring music for a Rajini film after Petta and Darbar. The film, bankrolled by Sun Pictures, is expected to hit screens in mid-2023. 

Interestingly, Rajinikanth's Jailer team and Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan team are shooting for their respective films in the same studio and they recently caught up with each other. Pictures of the meeting, however, were not released by the team. In the meantime, the buzz is that Rajinikanth is likely to team up with Cibi Chakaravarthi of Don fame, which will be produced by Lyca Productions for his next. There is another buzz that the actor will work with either Designh Periyasamy or his daughter Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth for his next. It is to be noted that Rajinikanth had earlier worked in his younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan.With back-to-back films, it looks like the Superstar has a packed 2023.
