Following the buzz around the unexpected crossover between BTS' V, also known as Kim Taehyung, and Jackie Chan, the idol surprised fans by going online on March 2 to check in with the dedicated fandom called ARMY. Sharing a video on his Instagram story of the group's dance practice for their hit single "Permission to Dance," V stirred up emotions among ARMY, who are already longing for the group's presence.
Yet, it was his heartfelt message beneath the video that caught fans off guard. Captioned in Korean and translated to convey, "ARMYs, you haven’t forgotten about me, right? I'm still here, okay? Please think of us from time to time, alright?"
The video quickly spread across social media platforms, with fans expressing how they miss the seven members daily. Some even took their sentiments to the Weverse app, where they could communicate directly with their favourite idols.

V himself took the time to respond to some queries online. Here are the rough translations of the chats. One fan expressed, "Taehyung-ah, I think about you like I breathe. You always shine in my heart. I won’t forget. Stay healthy. I'm still here, unchanged. I purple you." Taehyung replied, "Then I'm glad to hear that. It's a relief to know I'm not the only one feeling this way."
Another fan inquired, "How much weight have you gained? Are you eating well?" to which V humorously replied, "Currently, I'm filming 'The Secret Life of Kim Taehyung.' If I keep going like this, eating, exercising, and training, 86kg... possibly…"
When asked about his workout routine, another fan queried, "Taehyung-ah, is your workout going well? Are you doing okay?" V teased back, "Just wait a little longer. After a year, I’ll lose the weight and star in 'Ultimate Muscle.'"
Taehyung, alongside his fellow BTS members RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, Suga, and J-Hope, has fulfilled their obligation to enlist in the South Korean mandatory military service.
Taehyung serves in the special forces of the 2nd Army Corps, stationed in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. Their enlistment is slated to conclude on June 10, 2025, coinciding with the anticipated comeback of the group.
