RM has at long last confirmed that his Right People Wrong Place documentary is up for a theatrical release. After shining at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) 2024, the documentary will be available for viewing in cinemas across the globe. RPWP will be the third music documentary release from BTS members in the year of 2024. Starting with Suga's D-Day, Jungkook's I Am Still and now RM's RPWP, ARMY (BTS fans) have been delighted by the band members even when they are serving in the Korean military (Jin and J-Hope are now back and they are working towards more projects actively to keep the fans happy). While Suga, JK and RM summed up their journey in a film, J-Hope gave his fans an elaborate experience of On The Street with his docu-series, but coming back to RPWP, here's when you can go and watch it in theatres and everything you can expect to experience with the beloved BTS leader...
RPWP will be out in limited screens. It will be available across the globe from December 5. The bookings for the tickets are already open on the website and will begin by November in third-party apps.
Those who know Kim Nam-joon's Rap Monster (fondly known as RM/Joon/Joonie), are already aware that he rarely ever comes with filters and does not shy away from expressing just what is on his mind. This quality is also what makes him a beloved leader of the biggest K-pop band in the world.
RPWP songs, like we already know now, is about Namjoon speaking his mind. He has not only entered the hip-hop culture but owned it, especially in the UK.
Yes, spoiler king had already dropped hints about his documentary. The video which RM shared, was a teaser for RPWP documentary. He will travel across the mountains and seas, hiking and taking a dive, and the bonus is a shirtless Namjoon. This one stuck in between hyung and maknae, is out to give tough competition to the youngest members, Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung aka V with the shirtless moments. Like Jimin and JK taking a sauna experience in Are You Sure!?, RM dives into the sea shirtless, which is when we get a glimpse of even Joonie taking his shirt off.
After isolating himself from all the BTS members while working on RPWP, Namjoon caught up with Jimin for an honest opinion. The MiniMoni moments consisted of Jimin having cute to shocked reactions. "Every time you listen to a song from Namjoon, you feel like you are reading his diary," Jimin had said, thus clearly stating that Namjoon would put his thoughts out in the open, like he should be able to.
Since the makers have worked closely with J-Hope in the past, and RM and Hobi are already tight, we might just see the leader and BTS' dance leader come together.
RM had teased RPWP back at Suga (Min Yoon-gi)'s concert. So, we might get a glimpse of them, too.
Moreover, the documentary was in the works when BTS' eldest Kim Seok-jin, better known as Jin, was being enlisted in the military. So, we might go through that emotional roller-coaster again at the time when Jin is already out and Joonie picked up the saxophone to welcome the first BTS member back home.
Currently, Namjoon is serving in the military. He enlisted at the same time as Kim Tae-hyung, but they are in a different division now. A day after them, Park Ji-min and Jeon Jung-kook had also enlisted and they started their service, which will end in June 2025. By July 2025, Min Yoon-gi will also be out and thus, BTS will finally be reunited and make memories with ARMY in Take Three.
