BTS' SUGA aka Min Yoongi, has officially disclosed the date of his impending military enlistment. On September 17, BIGHIT MUSIC made a formal announcement that SUGA is scheduled to enlist on September 22. He will be the third BTS member to fulfil his mandatory military service, following his fellow bandmates Jin and J-Hope.

While BTS' devoted fans, known as ARMY, expressed sadness about SUGA's upcoming enlistment, there were unfortunate instances of negativity from other K-pop fandoms, including unsettling wishes directed towards the rapper, who is also recognized as Agust D. Some even went so far as to hope that "he does not come back."
In response to these distressing comments, fans have taken to social media platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter), to combat these harmful sentiments.
SUGA's enlistment:
The official statement from BIGHIT MUSIC read as follows: "Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. Thank you for your continued support for BTS. We have further information regarding SUGA's military service. SUGA will be beginning his required service on September 22."
They also added, "There will not be any official events taking place on the day he starts his service or on the day he enters the training camp. We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting Suga at his workplace during the period of his service. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only".
For those who may not be aware, SUGA underwent significant surgery due to shoulder discomfort.
Notably, Yoongi recently wrapped up his inaugural world tour following the release of his solo album 'D-Day,' which marked the culmination of his 'Agust D' trilogy.
This album ranked among the highest-selling records for a solo K-pop artist. The news of SUGA's military enlistment follows his recent episode of 'V for Suchwita,' which aired last week. V was the final BTS member to make an appearance on SUGA's talk show.
