Brooke Shields has recently made a big splash on Glamour's cover, and gave an interesting interview as well. After enjoying a high-profile lifestyle with all that paparazzi, photographs, fan followings, brand endorsements, the actress now wants to focus on what is fruitful and valuable.
Apart from doing movies, Brooke is now also doing her own podcast, Now What? With Brooke Shields. The interview was organised to celebrate her being the Glamour Woman of the Year. While talking to the host, she absolutely opened her life fully naked, and shared her life lessons, ageing, power, and downfalls.
Shocking news about Brooke
The most shocking part of that interview was getting to know that she once suffered a dangerous seizure in September. It was Bradley Cooper, who stayed beside her and gave her a helping hand. Brooke shared that Cooper swooped into the situation, when she was waiting at a restaurant in NYC for a table.
“2 women come up to me; I don’t know them. Everything starts to go black,” Shields remembered. “Then my hands drop to my side and I go headfirst into the wall. I start having a grand mal seizure, means frothing at the mouth, totally blue, trying to swallow my tongue.”
What did Brooke say?
“The next thing I remember, I’m being loaded into an ambulance. I have oxygen on. And Bradley fucking Cooper is sitting next to me holding my hand. I couldn’t really get any words out. But I thought to myself, ‘This is what death must be like.’ You wake up and Bradley Cooper’s going, ‘I’m going to go to the hospital with you, Brooke,’ and he’s holding my hand. And I’m looking at my hand, I’m looking at Bradley Cooper’s hand in my hand, and I’m like, ‘This is odd and surreal'.” Shields continued.
She also mentioned that the restaurant tried to contact her husband, Chris Henchy, but he did not respond. Later Cooper helped them to contact him as he was living nearby.
Cause of the seizure
According to Brooke, the seizure occurred due to low sodium in blood, because she drank too much water. “I flooded my system, and I drowned myself.”
