BRO is Pawan Kalyan's latest film which was directed by Samuthirakani. The film is a fantasy drama and was a remake of the Tamil hit, Vinodhaya Sitham, and was also directed by Samuthirakani. Sai Dharam Tej played the main lead in this film and Pawan Kalyan was seen as the Time God in BRO. Trivikram Srinivas penned the dialogues and screenplay for the film which had music by Thaman.
BRO's theatrical release and revenue
BRO was shot under 50 days as Pawan Kalyan allotted bulk dates for the film. Priya Prakash Varrier and Ketika Sharma played the female leads in this film which was released on July 28, 2023. The film started with a bang at the box office but slowed down after the first week of its release.
BRO made close to Rs 75 crores gross and ended as an average fare at the box office. A few distributors lost out on revenue as they bought the rights by spending big money. BRO's theatrical rights were valued at Rs 90 crores.

On the other hand, the digital rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix for a massive price. The makers landed in profits thanks to these pre-release rights of the film and we at OTTplay had already reported that BRO will start streaming on August 25, 2023.
The film is now streaming on Netflix and has taken a solid start. The social drama is now ranked at the top spot in the India-wide Netflix ranking showcasing the craze of the film on OTT. The family audience that missed the film on the big screen is binge-watching it on Netflix.

Pawan Kalyan's future projects
Pawan Kalyan played Time God in the film and his role was appreciated by the critics. As of now, Pawan Kalyan is shooting for his new film Ustaad Bhagath Singh which is being directed by Harish Shankar. Pawan has also given bulk dates to OG which is being helmed by Sujeeth of Saaho fame.
The star hero has close to five films lined up and he wants to release at least two of them before the AP elections in early 2024. For now, his new film BRO is topping the charts and is a smash hit on OTT as well.
