The third season of Bridgerton is soon here, so hop in the carriage! Season 3, Part 1, will premiere on May 16, and the trailer and teasers tease all the surprises and swoons that are to come.
The ballroom's focal points will be Nicola Coughlan's Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton's Colin Bridgerton. Featherington is a wallflower who writes hidden scandal sheets. This season, when Penelope and Colin take centre stage, fans will see them in a whole new light, leading to an official influx of #Polin, as the couple has become known. There might be more than "friendship" developing between them, as shown in the trailer.
Part 1 of Bridgerton Season 3 will premiere on May 16, and Part 2 will arrive a month later, on June 13. Each batch will consist of four episodes.
In Season 3, you'll see several familiar people from Bridgerton. With Coughlan and Newton at the helm, a slew of series regulars follow suit. Cast: Jessie, Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Lorraine Ashbourne (Mrs. Varley), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Bridgerton), Simone Ashley (Kate Sharma), Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Harriet Cains (Philipa Featherington), Bessie Carter (Prudence Featherington), Jessica Madsen (Cressida Cowper), Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton), Martins Imhangbe (Will Mondrich), Will Tilston (Gregory Bridgerton), Polly Walker (Portia Featherington), and Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown).
Hugh Sachs as Brimsley, Emma Naomi as Alice Mondrich, and Kathryn Drysdale as Genevieve Delacroix complete the main cast.
In Season 3, three new actors will join the cast of this love story. James Phoon portrays Harry Dankworth, a dashing newcomer to the gentry who may be lacking in intellect but more than makes up for it with his good looks; Sam Phillips plays Lord Debling, a suitor for Penelope; and Daniel Francis portrays Marcus Anderson, the charming newcomer to the gentry.
Author Julia Quinn is ecstatic in anticipation of book lovers getting their first glimpse at one legendary scene from the Bridgerton series. Specifically, she is excited about the scene where Penelope tends to Colin's injured hand and applies bandages.
Quinn informed Tudum that healing someone is both a similar and intimate experience in the play. This is the scene where they first engage in meaningful discussion in the novel. It makes them stand closer to one another, which is unusual.
Showrunner and writer Jess Brownell describes Francesca as the most different of the Bridgerton siblings and elaborates that she's completely reserved. She's going to test her parenting instincts to the limit with Violet because she's different from her other children.
In Season 3, Anthony, according to Brownell, will be protecting his peace on the Bridgerton brothers' side of the family. Having Johnny and Simone back is really wonderful. Their happy finish last season was the result of a lot of hard work, she adds. Now they're all sweethearts, and they are playful.
Following Season 2's Featherington Ball, overhearing Colin telling a group of bachelors that he will never court Penelope leaves her devastated. The argument between Penelope and her best friend Eloise (played by Claudia Jessie) in the Season 2 finale did not improve her mood either. Coughlan, on the other hand, promised fans at Tudum: A Global Fan Event that Penelope would be ready for a scandalous third season in London.
Season 3 opens with Penelope's return to London, where she sets out on a mission to reinvent herself as a strong, independent woman. With much anticipation, the makers will take viewers on a carriage ride.
The official synopsis states that by the start of Season 3, Penelope has decided to finally break off her crush on Colin. But it doesn't mean she's over romantic relationships. Rather, Penelope has made up her mind to find a husband—ideally one who will allow her to live her double life as Lady Whistledown without interference from her family.
Unfortunately, Penelope's attempts at the marriage market are utterly unsuccessful since she lacks confidence, as stated further in the narrative. At the same time, Colin has come back from his summer adventures looking fresh and cocky as ever. Unfortunately, he finds it discouraging to see that Penelope, who accepted him unconditionally, is now ignoring him. Colin, who is eager to regain Penelope's friendship, offers to assist her in finding a husband this season by mentoring her in self-confidence. However, when his lessons take an unexpected turn, Colin finds himself questioning whether his feelings for Penelope are merely amicable. It is already difficult for Penelope to conceal her identity as Lady Whistledown, and her growing influence in the community only makes things worse. Meanwhile, Eloise has made an unusual new acquaintance, further straining Penelope's relationship with her.
Colin begins to doubt his feelings for Penelope, whom he calls a friend, as she sets her eyes on a dashing new bachelor from the hayloft. We will also reveal the marital lives of Kate and Anthony, the leads of Season 2, and how the couple's desire has only grown stronger.
