Actor Kavin Raj has tied the knot! The actor married his long-time girlfriend Monicka at an intimate ceremony this morning. One of the pictures, shared by ace comedian Pugazh, in which he is seen congratulating the couple, is now doing the rounds on the internet. While Kavin is seen wearing a golden-hued pattu veshti and sattai, Monicka twinned with the actor in a sizzling sari. The event had only very close friends and family in attendance.
In the meantime, some videos of the venue, too, have surfaced on the internet. In one of the videos, Kavin and Monicka are seen getting ready for their big day. Congratulations have been pouring in for the actor and Monicka from his fans, well wishers and industry fraternity.
Kavin was last seen in the coming-of-age romantic comedy Dada, which also marks the directorial debut of Ganesh K Babu. The film, which starred Kavin, Aparna Das, VTV Ganesh, Aishwarya Bhaskaran and Bhagyaraj, plot revolved around single parenting and went on to become a breakout film in the career of Kavin, catapulting him to the next league of his career. Dada was lauded for propagating the message that parenting was gender neutral. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Kavin has already begun shooting for his next project, which is helmed by Sathish Krishnan. Preethi Asrani, who shot to fame with Manthiramurthy and Sasikumar's Ayothi, is playing the leading lady in the film. Music for the untitled film is by Anirudh Ravichander , marking his maiden collaboration with the Dada actor.
This apart, Kavin will also be seen in director Elan's upcoming film, the title of which is yet to be revealed. We hear that at least 40 per cent of the shoot has been completed. The album, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, is said to have six songs. The team has approached Ivana and Divya Bharathi to play the leading ladies.
