Filmmaker Danish Aslam made his directorial debut with Break Ke Baad in 2010. His film starred Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone. Over a decade after the film's theatrical release, Danish recently confirmed his reunion with Imran for a movie. The director, whose film Khwaabon Ka Jhamela premiered on JioCinema, has shared an update about his next project with Khan. Danish didn't divulge much details about the film, but the update will surely excite Imran's fans.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Danish Aslam was quizzed regarding his upcoming project with Imran Khan. The filmmaker shared, "It’s still a work-in-progress. When things are finalized, I’ll be happy to talk about it."
For the uninitiated, Danish earlier spoke to India Today and confirmed his reunion with Imran. The director mentioned that he is working with the actor on something. However, they will announce it the moment things are locked and fall into place.

In the same conversation, Danish spoke about Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, starring Prateik Babbar and Sayani Gupta. The filmmaker attempted to make modern love story with his film. The director mentioned that rom-coms were made in the early 2000s and that genre somehow disappeared in the last 10 to 12 years.
"We left that zone of Hum Tum [2004], Salaam Namaste [2005], and went into heartland stories. I feel Khwabon Ka Jhamela is one of the films that fills that gap," said Danish. The filmmaker added, "The language of love changes every few years. Which is why the older rom-coms get dated and we need to update the genre every few years."
